How long has Evolve been in business?

Evolve was founded in 2011 by Ron Carter.  Mr Carter decided to start his own clinic to place emphasis on quality while creating a comfortable and educational experience for the client.

How long have your technicians been doing Scalp Micro Pigmentation?

Our lead technician has been in the industry since 2010 and joined Evolve Hair Clinic when it opened, with the owner, Ron Carter. She has performed SMP hundreds of times on every ethnicity.

Jose Vargas in Evolve Hair Clinic – Dallas has been performing SMP for over one year and has hundreds of positive results. Cindy Taylor works in the Hair restoration clinic in Atlanta. Cindy has over one year in the SMP industry and is considered the best SMP practitioner in the southeast region of the US.

How does the process work?

SMP, Scalp Micro Pigmentation, is the process of replicating the look thousands of hair follicles in a grid on the scalp. Creating the look and image of a full head of hair. Great detail is put into creating soft natural hairlines. Evolves Hair loss doctors educate and teach our Practitioners on placing and creating hairlines.

How long does SMP take?

The Scalp Micro Pigmentation process takes four to six hours. This can depend on the size of the clients scalp. SMP usually takes two sessions and possibly a third to complete the desired look. This can all depend on the client. Each patient reacts differently to the taking of the pigmentation. Hair transplant scars can take two to three sessions depending on the size and diameter of the scalp. Evolve recommends using a derm roller 30 days before SMP into a scar.

Is it Painful?

Each case varies.  In general, it is virtually painless. Most clients watch movies and fall asleep.

How do you match my existing hair color?

We take great care when you arrive at the clinic to evaluate and match your hair color. We keep our methods just like the crabby patty formula but we can match almost any color. Evolve uses only the most natural organic pigmentation refined by Evolves lab partner in Arizona. For clients with grey hair, we use a grey color-wash pigmentation to help with the salt and pepper look that clients desire.

Can I send in pictures so I can get my hair color shown before the process?

Yes, please provide before pictures. It helps our technicians better prepare to make great educated decisions. Pictures are beneficial for both Client and Evolve. Please email pics to info@evolvehairclinic.com or text to 952-913-6698 with your name and city.

What if I have long hair? Can you work with long hair?

Yes and no. It depends on the density of your existing hair. We carefully evaluate your before pictures and determine the best treatment plan. Hair transplant scars are different and can be camouflaged with various results using SMP or FUE. It is recommended that if you are doing scar repair only you keep your hair longer.

What happens if my hair turns grey or I have grey hair?

We simply will do a touch up with grey color wash or add our refined pigments to give you more of a salt and pepper look. In the thousands of consultations we have done, only one gentleman wanted a full look of grey hair.

What is the typical cost of hair restoration?

It depends on the amount of work that needs to be done. On average Scalp Micro Pigmentation ranges from $800-4500 and the typical FUE case ranges from $3000 to $10.000. Typically the charge is per case. Evolve offers financing packages with Care Credit with 0% percent financing available to qualified patients.

What if I work or spend time in the sun?

We recommend a water proof spray or lotion with SPF 50 or greater. Also, a hat should be worn if you are going to be exposed to direct sunlight for more than 30 minutes. For optimum results you should avoid water and shampoo into the scalp region for a minimum of 4 days. No use of swimming pools, oceans, or saunas for a minimum of 30 days.

What is the cost of a Scalp Micro Pigmentation touch-up?

The majority of touch-ups cost around $300.
